| new computer? | | I'm thinking that I would really like to try to upgrade and get a new laptop or a desktop. I think the macs are really neat but they are so expensive. Most of what I use my laptop for is schoolwork, social networking(facebook), checking email, etc. I haven't been playing games much lately. I noticed that Apple has an education discount but my funds are way tight right now so I'm not entirely sure what I think about it. Do you have experience with a Mac and if so, how easy was it to learn how to use? One of my biggest concerns would be switching over because I feel like they are so much different from PC's. What are your thoughts? | |
| | I have a NEW computer!!! | | It is a $200 acer revo, 900 mgs of RAM, 150 gigs of hard drive, and 1 gigahertz Intel chip. It was $199 and with the roomie's reward's program I got 6 months of Geek Squad free (a $20 value.) All together it was under $220!!!Its working faster and I'm so happy!Got a new printer/scanner/copier too, and cleared off space to put it on the desk.Now, the "grunt" work of down loading all the stuff I need to be "happy", you know, itunes, a few more web browsers and AIM!I may not be doing all I need to do this weekend here, but soon - ZOOM! | Would you buy insurance for a new computer? | | I just bought a new PC from microcenter, and the sales staff encouraged me to purchase an insurance, which is $39 for the whole year. I think that I don't need it since that refurbished computer is so cheap, merely less than $400. Right now, most PC and laptops are so cheap, an extra insurance would be redundant I think. A friend of mine always bought extended warranty for the computer or electronic stuff such as LCD TV, etc..... So, would you buy an extended warranty for a newly bought PC in your opinion? | |
