| Recession made me movie maniac.... | | It was since last few months that I was lot more free and nothing to do.
It was that period when I was even of surfing on internet for different opportunities and during that period I purchased a new 250gb hard Drive and I kept all the movie in that hard drive which I got from all my sources.
Now Whenever a new movie releases I will either watch it in theaters or I will watch it at my home on computer. I watched a lot of movies in the last year. I think it has made me movie maniac as my new college friends always wonder of how one can watch so many pictures.
Well the only reason for that is that I was unemployed and was tired at home so did something like watching movie better than nothing.[em]rasp[/em] | |

| When and what was your most recent shopping? | | Yesterday according to our tradition we celebrated new year and we also believe that shopping on this day is also beneficial.
So I got a good reason to take some money from my dad, then I purchased a Portable 250GB Hard Drive of Transcend and also upgraded my RAM from 1GB to 2GB.
Hence Yesterday I did some shopping.

| | What's your video editing software? | | I have a thing for editing. I think I have a thing for it. Whenever my mom wants me to take videos or pictures of stuff, I always end up having to transfer them to a computer and then she expects me to have an AVP[AudioVisual Presentation] a few weeks after. Now that isn't really a problem, that wasn't... until...My eleven-year-old sister has an HP laptop that of which I installed a video editing software named Ulead VideoStudio 10. I used that one for freshman year's documentary film and it was a blast working with it. Her OS is Windows XP, and it was perfectly compatible with Ulead.Now, my fairy godmother bought me a new laptop which had infinitely better specifications than my sister's. This one had a 250GB hard drive, runs on Windows Vista and has 3GB RAM--the biggest one I found when I was online shopping. They had it shipped and given to me on Christmas day. I installed some of the software I regularly used and...-When I use Ulead, there's no audio.[so it's just a Visual Presentation. f*ck.]
-I tried installing Adobe PS CS4, but to no avail. It won't take it in!Give me suggestions with the video editing software thing. The Adobe Photoshop thing is also yet... | |

| Computer Noise | | I just bought a new HP Notebook and I like it a lot, except that it is quite loud. I can constantly hear the fan running and it isn't a subtle hum. The sound isn't "unhealthy" sounding and it isn't problematic. They system performance is great and fast but this constant white noise is driving me crazy. Does anybody have similar problems? Any possible solutions? Should it be doing this?My computer is an HP Notebook dv4-1120us with 250GB hard drive, 4GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo, and Windows Vista Home Premium. I was also wondering if there was any difference in how much memory us english people have on average on our computers and the rest of the world, cause in a lot of things we seem to be behind in the technologies lol.
im currently on a laptop and have 1 gb of ram and a 80gb hard drive. my dektop also has 1gb of ram and an 80gb hard drive. in addition to those 2 i have an external 250gb hard drive i use for storing music and movies so i can switch it between computers and it doesnt waste space on my laptop and desktop. | |

| How much HDD space do u have? | | Well people what is the total Hard Disk space in all u have on your comp?? I have 250GB Hard Disk and still i find it very less.Initially i started of with a 20GB Hard Disk 8 years back. Then went in for a 40GB one. Found that less too. Upgraded to 80GB and now finally i'm with 250GB and still not satisfied as i keep running outta space and have to delete a lotta things from time to time.Do you'll face the same scenario?? | |

| Can any 1 tell me the Best software to compress .vob (4.5gb) films into 700mb | | HI,i LOVE movies....n i collect lots of movies from friend and relatives..i have just 250gb hard disk(very very small space to store more films)..most of the films i have are .vob files i.e DVD format(approx 4.5gb)...so maximum i can store upto 30 films..but i heard that this type of files can be converted into other formats like avi,xvid,rm..all this formats r the compressed form of the original retaining the same video and audio quality...so guys do u know the best software to compress 4.5gb to 700mb so that i can store more films...please help friends!!!!!!...waiting for ur reply | |
